CODE OF CONDUCT
- The individual who signed up to attend the AUSMUN online conference must be the individual participating in the conference. No other individual may take the place of the registered attendee.
- Zoom codes, passwords, and other information are private and are prohibited from being shared or distributed in any way.
- Zoom-related expectations for this conference include:
- Keeping the chat box to MUN topics only
- Keeping microphones muted when not called on by the chair to limit lagging and other background noises
- Using a minimally distracting background, or in cases where that is difficult, using a neutral “virtual background” in order to reduce distractions, or for privacy reasons
- Delegates should be in a place where background noises are not present to make sure the committee will be able to hear what is being said.
- In order to avoid technical difficulties, make sure your internet connection is strong, try to call in from an area with minimal internet traffic, and stable connection.
- They will remain diplomatic at all times with an emphasis on proper oral, body language, and behavior. They will interact with others respectfully and diplomatically as well.
- If delegates wish to be considered for awards, a position paper must be submitted to the chairs the night before the conference at 12 am.
- Hong Kong Protest Crisis doesn’t require a position paper, however it is still recommended for delegates to be adequately prepared for the conference.
- Delegates wishing to pass notes during the conference will send their note to the room’s designated tech assistant, with the following information at the top; Delegation From, Delegation To, Time Stamp. Delegates may only send notes to other delegates within their committee, and notes will be checked for content by AUSMUN Staff. Inappropriate content could result in a loss of award, or expulsion from the conference.
- Individuals present during the conference are required to wear Western Business Casual attire throughout every session.
